Career Highlights
1981 - 1986: A Step into Publishing: The Robb Report Years, Atlanta + Boston
Talent and drive landed me an incredible position right out of college with The Robb Report, an international lifestyle magazine located in Atlanta, Georgia. As Managing Editor and Art Director for "The Robb", this position allowed me to expand and explore branding, publishing, marketing, editorial development, photography and art direction on a professional level opening many doors along the way.  Long before the internet, The Robb Report's unique lifestyle content provided me the opportunity to work with some of the biggest influencers in the world engaging on a daily basis with the "who's who" in corporate America and beyond. The publication relocated from Atlanta to Boston in 1983 affording me the opportunity to work in New England and expand my network.

I left the Robb Report in 1986 to pursue other creative work in Boston and New York.  As an independent creative communications consultant I focused on special interest publishing, content creation, brand development, strategic activations, immersive culinary events and earned media placement. Founded as Suttles Design, the company was rebranded as Creative 3 Publishing, LLC, in 2021.

Big Green Egg: From 2010 - 2024, I worked as a freelance consultant and later as a full time employee providing creative direction and public relations for Big Green Egg. I was hired by the CEO to design and launch Big Green Egg Lifestyle, an internationally distributed publication. With over 10 million copies distributed worldwide, it became one of the brand’s most successful marketing tools. I led the publication's content creation and worked closely with the executive marketing team, overseeing brand communications, public relations, exclusive culinary programs, brand partnerships, events and product placement.

Special Interest Publishing
Southern Farm & Garden: I created and launched this nationally distributed special interest consumer publication. It was available in Whole Foods, Fresh Market, Earth Fare, Barnes & Noble, grocery stores and many other independent retailers. The SF&G concept focused on living a more regenerative, connected life, cooking, food origination, history and culture. Food Tank recognized Southern Farm & Garden in their top twenty magazines for "People who Love to Cook, Grow and Eat."

Nourish and Flourish was created as an evolution of SF&G, expanding its editorial voice to reach a wider audience. This nationally distributed special interest publication and internationally distributed interactive digital title will relaunch online in 2025, with exciting new plans in the works. While the publication was temporarily paused during COVID, limited printed copies are still available upon request. Stay tuned for what's next!

The Ringling Effect:
Founded in 1931 by noted art collector, real estate magnate, and circus impresario John Ringling, the private, not-for-profit fully accredited college offers Bachelor of Fine Arts degrees (BFA) in 10 majors. Ringling is one of the best and most innovative visual arts colleges in the world and a leader in technology education in the arts. U.S. News and World Report lauded Ringling as "The Most Wired Campus in the U.S."

I graduated from Ringling in 1981, the 50th anniversary of the college.  As the VP of Student Government,  I was instrumental in working with the Board of Directors in advocating for the college to become accredited so that students would have the opportunity to graduate with recognized degrees. This goal was achieved and I was one of a handful of students to receive the first BFAs awarded by the college.  I am proud to be a Ringling Alumni and was very involved in making a difference at Ringling.

I was also instrumental in creating and producing the "Creative Assemblage. " a week-long educational event featuring top talent in the industry including photographers Jay Maisel and Doug Kirkland, Art Paul, art director, Joe Sedelmeier, executive producer and many other notable creatives who came to the college to speak and review portfolios prior to graduation.
